Four internal promotions to strengthen Lambe’s construction leadership for housebuilding clients

M Lambe Construction has announced four internal promotions, positioning our construction leadership team for a smooth transition ahead of Construction Director Mick Fleming’s planned retirement in October.
All four appointments are intended to provide our housebuilding clients with continuity and familiar relationships as construction leadership passes to the next generation.
Luke O’Brien, Group Head of Construction
Luke O’Brien promoted to Group Head of Construction
Luke joined the business as a Contracts Manager in 2020 before stepping up to lead construction in our newly formed Central Region in 2025.
Since then, he’s been responsible for regional production, leading delivery at sites including Wavensmere Homes’ Friar Gate Goods Yard, Canalside and award‑winning Nightingale Quarter, as well as Vistry Group’s Glen Parva and Persimmon Homes’ Clipstone development.
Luke’s strengths in building trusted relationships with clients and site teams have allowed him to raise expectations for quality and site presentation by applying Lambe’s Standards across Central Region sites.
During the past 12 months under Luke’s leadership, the Central Region team has secured multiple contracts with repeat clients and supported three Pride in the Job Award‑winning site managers.
In his new group role, Luke will lead the implementation of our best practices, key construction processes and site standards across all sites, so clients see the same high standards wherever we work together.

Michael McGettrick, Construction Manager, M Lambe Construction, North Midlands
Michael McGettrick promoted to Construction Manager, North Midlands
Michael joined Lambe’s straight out of school as a trainee engineer before going on to graduate with a first‑class Civil Engineering degree.
Widely recognised as one of the most technically competent people in the business, Michael moved into a Contracts Manager role after eight years.
He took on two of our biggest sites – Drakelow and Top Farm for Vistry Group – and quickly proved his ability to plan and strategise complex projects.
His promotion to Construction Manager reflects both his technical strength and our confidence in him to lead regional delivery for our housebuilding clients in the North Midlands.
Ciaran Boyle, Construction Manager, M Lambe Construction, South Midlands
Ciaran Boyle promoted to Construction Manager, South Midlands
Ciaran joined Lambe's as a construction management graduate thirteen years ago, beginning his career in the health and safety team where he progressed from Assistant SHE Manager to SHE Manager.
After eight years, he moved into project management and quickly became one of our highest‑performing contracts managers. He played a key role on William Davis’ Burton Green scheme, driving consistent delivery and immaculate standards on site.
Known for delivering ambitious programmes and keeping his word, Ciaran has a strong track record for spotting and developing talented people in the business, and we’re excited to see him bring that to regional leadership in the South Midlands.
Tom Kelly, Construction Manager, M Lambe Construction, Central Region
Tom Kelly promoted to Construction Manager, Central Region
Tom joined the business in 2016 as a trainee Project Manager. He showed strong leadership qualities from very early on, coupled with a talent for building strong client relationships.
Over the past 12 months, Tom has played a leading role in strengthening our relationship with Crest Nicholson through schemes including Meon Vale and Bridgnorth, helping us move from the fringes to becoming a trusted partner.
His adoption of the Lambe’s Standards has been as good as we’ve seen in the business, with his excellent site setup setting the benchmark for all new sites.
Tom is known for his ability to achieve quality and safety fairly, and we look forward to seeing him bring that focus to his new regional leadership role.
