A buffet sale, organised by two members of staff at M. Lambe Construction, has raised over £400 for a local charity: Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice.
Alongside the fundraising, Michelle Murphy and Elizabeth Dugard entered the Great Birmingham 10K 2019 run in pursuit of raising money for St Mary’s.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the hospice provides expert care and support to 400 people every day. It requires £8 million per year to operate, with 50% of funds being generated through voluntary donations. Michael Lambe, M. Lambe Construction, director, said: “Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice do a wonderful job for the local community and has touched the lives of some of our staff, whose family and friends have turned to them for essential care. I’m thrilled our team has got behind this initiative.”
