M. Lambe Construction gets behind Bethany Community Emergency Foodbank

With the festive period almost upon us, we have asked our team to help make this Christmas extra special for the many people of Birmingham who are struggling to put food on the table.

Staff have been asked to donate non-perishable items such as tinned beans, peas, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, sweetcorn, tuna, sardines, with the generous donations being handed over to Bethany Community Emergency Foodbank in Erdington.

Originally the humanitarian outreach arm of a small church in South Road in Erdington,  Bethany Community Emergency Foodbank provide on average just over 5,000 people each year with emergency food help.

Michael Lambe, Director, M. Lambe Construction, said: “The Birmingham Mail recently reported that desperate children from schools across Erdington and Kingstanding are filling their pockets with food at school on Fridays to avoid starving over the weekend.

“This really is heart breaking. So, I am delighted that our team is backing our latest charity initiative and supporting some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in society.”
